Announcing 2 New Challenge Blogs - Crazy for Cats Challenges and Most Magical Time of the Year Challenges!

Hello Paper Dragonfly Fans!

Exciting news to tell you about today, I'm launching two new sister Challenge Blogs for you to play in each month in addition to Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges!

I LOVE CATS....enough said right, LOL! 

As the saying goes..."you can never have too many cats", well the same applies to challenges too so I've got the PURRfect new challenge blog where you can enter your Cat themed projects to your hearts content all year long - I'm dedicating Crazy for Cats Challenges in loving memory to Sue EisenHauer of Ike's Art, who sadly passed away in April this year during the same month Ike sponsored us at Paper Dragonfly, so very sad, so this is for Ike❤️

Our first Crazy for Cats Challenge will start mid October during a special launch party so we can play in Janis' Cat Lovers Hop, then new challenges will begin on the first Friday of each month!   

If you're a Crazy Cat Lady then I've got the PURRfect "Crazy Cat Lady DT" for you to apply for while we wait for launch day!  The Crazy Cat Lady DT call is open to everyone with a passion for creating Cat projects!  So if you LOVE Cats and enjoy inspiring others and would love to apply for the Crazy for Cats' Crazy Cat Lady DT either full time or part time please have a read of the DT requirements HERE!

My two favorite holidays of the year are Halloween and Christmas, to me it's the most magical time of the year so my 2nd new challenge blog is called the Most Magical Time of the Year and it's all about celebrating Halloween and Christmas for 365 days a year, including other themes that fall during the main 2 holiday seasons like Fall-o-Ween, Fall, Thanksgiving, Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead), Winter and Creepmas and if you know of any other celebrations during the same time I'd love to hear about them so I can add them to the list!  

Our first Challenge will start on Friday Sept 30 at 8am pacific in time to celebrate the whole month of October and then new challenges will begin on the first Friday of each month.

Let the 365 days of celebrating the Most Magical Time of the Year begin by having a look out our Most Magical Design Team Call!

THEME DETAILS

This month's theme is Summertime Buzz with the optional challenge twist to include a Dragonfly on your Summertime Buzz projects!

We challenge you to create anything you want from cards to 3D projects, use rubber stamps or digis and all kinds of projects from cute to scary and everything in between is welcome at Paper Dragonfly as long as they follow the Summertime Buzz theme which can be anything that means Summer to you and Bees!  Enter your projects in the Inlinkz link-up below following the challenge rules provided by 11:55pm pacific on August 26.

Every month our challenge has a fun optional twist to combine with the current theme - we challenge you to include a dragonfly in some way or form.  Those who choose to rise to the Dragonfly Award challenge twist in the most unique way wins our coveted Dragonfly Award badge.  Please put “DA” after your name in your entry description to indicate you’ve entered the challenge twist and make sure to mention how you included a dragonfly in your post.  Please note this is NOT an alternate theme or a separate challenge, your projects must still follow the current theme!

We're excited to have LeighSBDesigns Digi Stamps and SVG Cutz sponsoring us this month, YAY!  LeighSBDesigns is sponsoring our main challenge prize this month and also provided the beautiful Bee themed digi images the CDT ladies used on their projects today!

Our challenges are monthly and start on the 1st Friday of each month.

Each challenge has a different theme.

For most challenges including a dragonfly is optional - see DRAGONFLY AWARD info.

Occasionally a challenge will be dragonfly themed.

Anything Flies Challenges are our fun take on Anything Goes which means you make anything you want.

RULES

Challenge rules are subject to change when necessary and the most current rules will always be listed under the Challenge Info tab above for easy reference!

• The project must be inspired in some way by the current challenge theme.
• Optional Dragonfly Twist:  Include a dragonfly on your project while still following the current theme.  Put “DA” after your name in your entry description to indicate you’ve entered the challenge twist and explain how you’ve incorporated a dragonfly in your blog post.  Please note this is NOT an alternate theme or a separate challenge, your projects must still follow the current theme!
• There are no rules as to what you may create - paper crafts, mixed media, use rubber or digis, sweet and cute, creepy cute, quirky, vintage, dark - whatever makes your creativity fly is welcome! 
• You must follow the Paper Dragonfly blog and leave a comment on the challenge post when you enter to be eligible to play and win.
  
• You may enter up to five times per month.
• No limit on how many other challenges you can combine with Paper Dragonfly!
  
• Your link must be a direct link to your project post. 
• Projects must be blogged or shared on or after the date of the challenge, older postings and projects are not eligible.
• You must mention and link to the current Paper Dragonfly challenge in your post to be eligible to play and win the prize. 
• Optional but appreciated - include the current challenge badge in your post.
  
• Optional but appreciated - display Paper Dragonfly's main blog badge in your sidebar to help promote Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges.  That's the one above and also at the top of the right sidebar.

Challenge #7 Christmas in July - Winners

Hello and thank you so much for playing in our "Christmas in July" Challenge!  WOW, what an amazing turn out we had, each and every single project was so lovely and so unique from delightfully pretty to LOL joyful!  You all rose to the challenge theme beautifully, like you always do, and we had a few take on the extra twist of including a dragonfly which is always so fun to see!!!!
